TRE®

TRE® (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises) is a body-based practice designed to support the nervous system in releasing excess stress and tension.

TRE® does not require talking about past experiences or trauma. Instead, it works directly with the body and nervous system in a gradual and safe way.

About Me

I provide a compassionate and safe space for clients to engage with the difficulties that life brings, and have a passion for innovative approaches to mental health. I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Stellenbosch University, followed by a BPsych degree from Cornerstone Institute. After completing my community service at an NGO in Tokai, I obtained the qualification as a Registered Counsellor with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).

Driven by a desire to offer meaningful and transformative mental health services, I pursued additional postgraduate training with the Equine Assisted Psychotherapy Institute of South Africa (EAPISA), to incorporate Equine Assisted Counselling into my practice. I have since completed further certifications to add TRE® (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises) and include a body-based component to my service offerings.
